GENEVA, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Swiss financial group Credit Suisse <CSGN.VX> said on Thursday it had shut down its Istanbul office following nearby bomb blasts and it was re-examining the security situation there.
CS spokesman Martin Somogyi said all 20 of the CS staff in Istanbul were unharmed and accounted for after the blasts that killed at least 25 people and injured more than 390.
The blasts occurred several hundred meters (yards) from the CS office, he said.
CS shut the office and sent the workers home, Somogyi said.
"We will reassess the security situation," Somogyi said."We have to get the full picture."
CS's activities in Turkey include private banking and commercial banking, including a representation from the group's Credit Suisse First Boston investment banking division. |  |  |  |  |
